This is a therapy group for lesbian, bisexual, queer, and questioning women focusing on the various issues that impact LBQQ women’s lives. The LBQQ Women’s Therapy Group is an opportunity to decrease the alienation and isolation of being a LBQQ woman in a
majority heterosexual environment. Whether you’re out to everyone or just to yourself, this group is a safe space to find support and learn more about yourself.Leaders: Anita Hund & Megan Paceley
Time: Tuesdays 1:00PM-2:30PM
Therapy groups at the counseling center are a form of psychotherapy, focusing on developing insight and behavior change. Five to eight group members meet with one or two group therapists once per week for 1-and-1/2 hours per group session throughout the semester. A "group screening" with the group therapists is scheduled prior to a group member joining. The group will close when there are 8 members.
Open only to UIUC students.
